GenoMEL needs your help

 
Could you spare 20 minutes to participate in an exciting new research project?

We have an on-line questionnaire concerning behaviour in the sun that we would like you to complete.

We are aiming to involve over 10,000 people! Nothing like this has been attempted before and we need your help to make it a success.

The questions we ask are about what you think of skin cancer and sun exposure, and about how you behave in the sun. We would like you to answer the questions as truthfully as possible. The questionnaire takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes to complete. The questionnaire does not ask for your name or address and we do not monitor IP addresses so the survey is anonymous. Your participation is also voluntary and you can end your participation at any time. If you are under 16 we advise you to discuss your participation with an adult before entering the questionnaire.

bullet New GenoMEL paper
The European Journal of Cancer has published a new GenoMEL paper entitled ‘A comparison of CDKN2A mutation detection within the Melanoma Genetics Consortium (GenoMEL)’. This paper describes how GenoMEL groups carry out screening for mutations in the CDKN2A gene to a consistently high standard.

bullet New questionnaires for existing GenoMEL study participants
Two online questionnaires are now available for people who have already been involved in our melanoma family studies. To take part you need a password from your research group. To find the questionnaires please click here. Other language versions will follow shortly.
