The names of group members with a description of their contribution

 
 

Dr. Adina Thoelke, Dr. Wolfram Fink and Dr. Robert Figl are all dermatologists within the unit.

Dr. Annette Paschen has a PhD in molecular genetics and joined the group 7 years ago. She has focused on the interaction of tumours and the immune system, particularly tumour recognition by T- and NK-cells. She will be supervising and co-coordinating the collection and characterisation as well as the documentation of incoming blood samples, cell lines and tumour samples together with Dr. Selma Ugurel.

Dr. Selma Ugurel, is responsible for managing the patient care in the outpatient unit. She is a board-certified dermatologist who has a 10-year track in treating melanoma patients in all clinical stages. She is supervising a melanoma registry database including collection of clinical follow up data as well as collection of well-defined clinical samples over the clinical course including sera, lymphocytes and tumour samples.

Antje Sucker, is a technician with extensive experience in cell culture technology and in cellular immunology. She will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the laboratory and will be responsible for cell line establishment and propagation including cryo-preservation and exact documentation of accompanying clinical data. She will also be responsible for storage, documentation and quality control of samples and cell lines.

Uta Schoening, R.N., clinical study nurse, is responsible for clinical data collection, verification of collected data and documentation. She will also be instrumental in building up the clinical database for this project.
